It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Galatians 5.1
You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
Galatians 5.13,14
Free People Free People is rooted in freedom from a literal kind of slavery: forced prostitution, human trafficking, addiction, depression, and shame. But more broadly, we are also about healthy, beautiful freedom being fleshed out and championed in the lives of all people. We love that stuff! In fact, we dare you to:
love
everyone
refuse to take part in ugly conversation
say what you really think
touch someone who's sick
be child-like
choose your own music
find beauty in everything
dye your hair blue
dance in public
refuse to let fear dictate your actions
look someone in the eye
trust, and be vulnerable
stop believing lies about yourself
finally acknowledge that you're an artist
release worry and anxiety
choose not to lie
refuse to hurt your own body
speak words of life into people
don't be afraid of your singing voice
laugh loudly in public
tap-dance for God
forgive
stop worrying about what others think
stand up for the oppressed
sit with the person everyone else avoids
embrace getting old
help orphans
live with less
try new food
stop trying to impress people
